What is the Native Title Resource Guide?The Native Title Resource Guide is an on-line research resource that provides summary information about native title and related Indigenous land issues. The Resource Guide provides direct access to the most relevant on-line resources. Rather than duplicating information on the websites of organisations involved in native title and other Indigenous land issues, the Resource Guide collates these resources providing one-stop access to:
You can examine information from a national or jurisdictional (state or territory) perspective. Refer to the site map for an outline of the website structure. Does the Native Title Resource Guide provide up to date information about native title?The Native Title Resource Guide collates information from a wide range of information sources. Wherever possible, direct links to the primary information sources have been provided to facilitate access to the most up to date information. Throughout the text you will see dates highlighted in bold, this refers to the currency of particular (following) information and relates to information about native title applications, determinations, future acts and Indigenous land use agreements. On pages relating to these subjects you will find direct links to the National Native Title Tribunal through which you can access the most up to date information. You should contact the host organisation directly if you wish to query the currency of information provided through such links. Information in the Resource Guide will be reviewed every six months, in January/February and July/August each year. Another way for you to check the currency of the information provided is to look at the footer of the page under 'Page last updated' (see below). Staff of the Native Title Research Unit will endeavour to provide timely updates in response to native title determinations and other developments such as new policy announcements, legislative amendments or changes of government, however if you are aware of information that needs to be updated please contact us. Wherever possible we have attempted to advise users of the size of the PDF document so you will have an idea about how large the file is and therefore approximately how long it will take to download to your computer.
